Review: The Inner Life of Priests

The Inner Life of PriestsThe Inner Life of Priests by Gerard J. McGlone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is an insightful collection of chapters that explore the way in which psychology – and the use of psychology in screening and formation – can provide a very helpful tool for making a contribution to a new health and vitality in the priesthood.

Despite some doubts about how useful psychology might prove in formation, the authors of this book provide the evidence to show that while perhaps not offering a ‘cure all’ for the life of priests psychology has the potential to assist everyone interested in how men serving in this role are identified, formed and supported.

I highly recommend this book.
