Review: Holy Living: The Christian Tradition for Today

Holy Living: The Christian Tradition for TodayHoly Living: The Christian Tradition for Today by Rowan Williams
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

An interesting though disappointing volume from the pen of the former Archbishop of Canterbury.

It was disappointing to this reader largely because I felt it was not of the standard I have come to expect from Williams, having read a number of his books of a similar nature. There was nothing wrong per se with the contents of the book and there were, indeed, some wonderfully thought-provoking insights, yet there was something ‘missing’ from this particular contribution from Williams.

  1. Firstly, I haven’t read your review or the book – but I noted another persons comment was that it reads like he is tired, still present, but worn out. Does that fit with what you have read?
