Capriciousness Personified

The behaviour of the current President of the United States at the recent G7 Summit in Canada can only be described as reckless and capricious. There continues to be a blurring of lines between official Administration policy and the perspective with which the President views either a) other leaders, b) the countries they represent, or c) both of the former. Under the current Administration, the United States risks becoming isolated from international gatherings if only because of the actions of the President cannot be predicted and agreed terms can be overturned by presidential Tweet.

The ‘leadership of the free world’ that once was held, for better or worse, by the United States is gradually being transferred away from Washington, DC, to other parts of the world.
