From the back cover:
This book explores the nature of Celtic Christian spirituality and why it has resonance in Australia. Ray is a citizen of Celtic lands who makes regular pilgrimage in Australia and Brent is an Aussie who enjoys making pilgrimage in Celtic lands. Together they begin to uncover common threads of earth-based celebrative spirituality in both lands. There are great practical applications in this book for adopting a personal ‘rhythm of life’ through the everyday monastic disciplines of the members of the Community of Aidan and Hilda, including the key ingredient of acquiring a soul friend. Ray and Brent, both ordained Ministers, also outline the impacts that a Celtic framework can have on reforming our understanding of church.
And mostly this is true, although there is a missed opportunity to go into much greater depth on the subject. The missed opportunity represents a singular lack in this book.
