My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Written in the early days of the pontificate of Pope Francis, it is interesting to read this book many years later and compare the hopes expressed therein with the reality of what has unfolded in the intervening years. Although Massimo Faggioli himself remarks it is dangerous to speak about the nature of a pontificate so soon after it begins, I could not help but see in Faggioli’s expectations the reality of what has subsequently come to be.
Highly recommended, even so long into the pontificate the beginning of which it captures.
